I haven't been able to find any sources that can explain the size and disposition of Royalist regular troops during these uprisings. Did the drive towards militia and irregular troops as the backbone of Spanish forces in the Americas lead to the evaporation of a centrally controlled military as each contingent either pledged its loyalty to its local junta or the various revolutions or has time and story constraints led you to avoid discussions about counter offensives undertaken before today's episode and the arrival of reinforcements from Cadiz.
