Nunc venio. Videre te in Romae. :)

Can't wait.

Taylorjmarvin

That's great to hear! I'm truly looking forward to the new show.

Richard Eppert

So glad to hear of your return! But remember, your son will be at the toddler stage in August 2014 and you'll have your hands full with that too. ;-)

Pb

What's it about????

Justinian

Awesome! I can't wait to hear what the new show is going to be. In the meantime, we've got The History of Byzantium to keep us occupied. Good luck with the degree and the family!

Alastair (Scotland)

Really looking to have you back Mike!

JP

It will be well worth the wait!

Steven Silvestro

Hi all! What does everyone think of 'The History of Byzantium' podcast? It took me a few episodes to get into it, however, I'm finally enjoying it now...

DL_Thurston

I came across The History of Rome shortly after you posted the last episode. I put the whole thing on my iPod, and listened to nothing but during my commutes until I wrapped up just last week. It even pulled me away from the 100 Objects podcast with an episode only half listened to. Thanks for doing it, and best of luck with the continued tours (sadly, not in the cards for me), your son, and the next podcast.

Gianna

So glad you're back in business! I had countless hours of fun listening to your podcast, so well researched and so well presented.

Hersh Sahai

My first suggestion: A Mike Duncan narrated 'walking tour' podcast.

I won't make this year's or next (World Cup, sorry) but here's hoping you do another one in 2015

Tuscany Villa Rental

Thank you for sharing this post. A history of Rome tour sounds amazing. I went there last summer and had an amazing time. I feel like there is so much to do that I missed a lot of things I wanted to see. I can't wait to go back!

david smith

Great news Mike!
I'm also listening to 'The History of Byzantium'
and liking it so far.

Ron

Mike, you just made my day! I've been relistening to the podcast (poor Alexander Severus is about to bite the dust), and it's just as good the second time around. Can't wait to hear the new show!

Trevor

Awesome man, I love your podcasts! Let me know if you need any help with graphics/logo or anything. Love to give back something for the hours of entertaining education you gave us :)

robert

still crossing fingers on the history of rome podcast becoming a book to read

robert

please help clarify some debating

where exactly was Ceasar(suppose to be)during the revolt of Spartacus

Miles

I'm about half way through my second listening of the podcast and eagerly anticipate your next project! All the best.

Jamison

robertÑ Caesar was elected Pontifix Maximus in 73, which was the same year Spartacus escaped and started the war.

Dimitri

Good luck in all things! Thanks for all your hard work and the amazing podcast you've made.

My question is, though, what exactly happens in August 2014? You finish your graduate program and begin your next podcast, or you finish the last episode of your next podcast?

Greg bailey

Oohh. Next topic! Give us a hint. Is it US founding father stuff maybe?

S. Ferry

Thanks for the update. I've been checking back periodically for info on the new podcast. I think I know what the subject matter is but purely a guess, but I'll keep it to myself. Looking forward to whatever you come up with. Good luck with everything else in the meantime.

A. Hicks

I am so excited about the new subject. I am up to Nero on my second listening. Wish I could go on the tour. Good Luck!

Val from Vancouver

Congratulations on your master's work. I suspect your thesis will be the easiest part. I was just discussing the digging of the Bosporus Strait for the transit system in Istanbul and recalling that when the first artifacts were being discovered we were in the middle of THoR.

Enjoy your life! Book schmook! Whatever, whenever, of course, we loved your entertaining and educational work. Clearly whatever works for you will be the best for any future podcast. I am looking forward to the additional personal snipets of life that end up being included with the ancient or modern history you end up presenting.

Ave Mike!
